Wrinkletastic

View this post on Instagram With enough lines, crevices & creases between us to give a pan-American roadmap a run for its money, I think it’s fair to say the telltale signs of sleepless nights, angst + worry that come with this #parenting shizzle are starting to show. Yet also hidden somewhere between the heavy-duty eyebags and the maze-like mass of wrinkles on display here are what I like to think of as deeply-seated and well-spent laughter lines: mementos of the fun times, the fab times and the sublimely silly times – memories which, much like the facial indentations that…

Wine o’clock

View this post on Instagram Probably not the most inspiring photo at first glance, but thought it was worth a share, if only to remind myself that the subtle-but-definitely-present ‘adult headache’ I’ve been facing today has been, in the grand scheme of things, absolutely worth it. After guiltily indulging last night in the giggle-fest of a film that is The Book Club (in the highly unlikely scenario that you need even more reasons to love Diane Keaton, Watch. This. Film), this bunch of fabulous ladiezzz and I – thanks to the stellar support of our respective papacito powers that be…

Pawfully silly

View this post on Instagram Because it’s apparently #NationalBestFriendsDay…. And whilst in this case I think the ‘nation’ in question is actually the U.S, thus technically not really ‘mine’ for the taking/any of my blinkin’ business… Well, it’s also Friday, and frankly, following a massively frustrating & uninspiring morning at my local Mexican immigration offices (“Sorry, no news today, señora! Maybe come back again next week" – and so goes the friendly-enough immigration official’s spiel F-I-V-E weeks in a row now) – meaning, well, in a nutshell: I’ve got absolutely nothing else up my Insta sleeve today. Nada. No shiny…

Dancing Queens

For those on the edge of their seats, eagerly awaiting the Big Day – well, I’m sorry to break it to you, folks, but that ship has passed and sailed well off into the sunset. Yep, that’s right, friends: International Running Day – the big event I’m sure you’ve been on the look-out for – has come and gone. Runners around the globe celebrated the special event just yesterday, in fact. Let it be known: I don’t do running. Yes, my blog is (purportedly) all about positive thinking and embracing life’s challenges and giving a big old ‘whoop whoop’ to…

No messin’ with Messi

View this post on Instagram At the ripe old age of four ("and a half, Mummy!”), our little man has a jam-packed, sizzling-hot social life that puts my bi-monthly (at most) evening outings with fellow adult humans to shame. Tuesdays and Thursdays are football days, which means this funny little crew of trouble-makers gets to spend 60 whole minutes running their (slightly too big, definitely too sweaty) socks off – sometimes laughing, occasionally squabbling, but almost always making up again before the hour is out. An added bonus for us spectating papas is that they are also quite the entertainers…
