Hoarding happiness

View this post on Instagram I’ve been feeling a bit lost at Insta sea🌊 lately, not really sure what I’m doing here anymore, and struggling to remember why I joined in the first place.🤔 For anyone who’s been oh-so patiently bearing with me for a while now, I can only apologise for the rather confuzzling mish-mash of #motherhood rants intertwined with #endloneliness chat and #mindfulness musings; I’m well aware that these three don’t necessarily jump out at as natural-born, happy-go-lucky trio of insta-friendly topics. I mean, motherhood + #selfcare + #wellness + #loneliness + #charity stuff, all cobbled together, ain't…

Fearlessly four

View this post on Instagram Throwing it back a couple of years to our days in the hot and sticky tropics of Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula. It was a time of big changes for this little chap: finding himself in new territory after yet another international move, he was also adapting to life in pre-school for the first time. Mountains and molehills

View this post on Instagram With the reality hitting us last week that we need to move house and find another rental quick-sharp, I’ve been feeling all in a tizz the last few days, and, if I’m honest, a bit scared and panicky. Following a substantial wobble over the weekend, getting totally carried away about the unhelpful ‘what ifs’, and falling down a rabbit hole of catastrophizing and blowing things massively out of proportion, what eventually snapped me out of my #anxiety funk was, of course, my people. Between my husband and a few close friends here to lend a…

If kindness is your jam…

View this post on Instagram For anyone in need of a dollop of blue skies and little white, fluffy clouds, may I suggest you go and check out the The Independent’s “Happy List 2018: the full list of people who make life better for others”, published this morning – I honestly think you’d be hard pushed to find a more uplifting, inspiring read on t’internet today. It also happens to feature a couple of kick-ass women and organisations cutting some serious shapes in the businesses of tackling #loneliness and social isolation, including the delightful (ok, I’ve not met her IRL,…
